I've been collecting cels and sketches for over six years now, albeit with a number of breaks. There's just something special about owning a piece of my favourite shows and characters.
Some of my favorites from my gallery in no particular order: (Ah! My Goddess) A fantastic and dynamic cel of Urd in action, just finishing a little spell called Ultimate Destruction.
(Full Metal Alchemist) This rough sketch of Winry Rockbell has one of the best expressions in my collection. It's too bad there aren't more great shots of the characters I love sleeping.
(Fushigi Yuugi) I have to admit, Tamahome is not a favorite, but this massive cel was far too neat to pass up.
(My-HiME) One Two Three Four Five great action shots from this show. Also check out this section of Miyu in action if you've seen the show or don't mind potentially being spoiled. In conclusion, this set of Haruka (134 KB GIF) contains some nice angry expression, and Mai is looking pretty badass here.
(Vision of Escaflowne) Possibly everyone gets jipped in the movie except for Jajuka, who quite possibly gets more time than he did in the TV series. However, I love this cel for the action and the detail. Check out the sketch, and the details really stand out.
(Lupin III) The best of the Lupin cels that I am lucky to own... Nice expressions, and it really helps that the car is part of the cel (and that they aren't just floating in space!)
(Galaxy Angel) This genga of Forte Stollen is quite possibly the most beautiful sketch I own in terms of color and clean lines. Be sure to check out the other genga as well as the douga set for some hair blowing in the wind action (265 KB GIF).
(One Piece) This layout of Roronoa Zoro is the most beautiful sketch for entirely different reasons... The roughness, the harsh lines and colors make the action even more explosive.
(One Piece) This was the first sketch and it is still my favorite sketch of Chopper. He has just transformed into his coolest looking form, Horn Point, and has begun to charge at the enemy. If you want to see more Horn Point Chopper: One Two Three Four
(One Piece) This background harmony layout from a Nico Robin flashback scene was a complete surprise acquisition. Also check out this genga of a smirking Robin at Crocodile's 'palace.'
(Hyper Police) I'm not usually big on portrait type artwork, but there's something attractive about this profile shot cel of Sakura. Maybe it's the slight smirk, the narrowed eyes, the fox ears... While you're at it, check out these adorable shots of an embarassed Sakura and a windblown Natsuki.
(Kiki's Delivery Service) I feel very fortunate to own this Ghibli cel as it was a spontaneous gift from a relative who found out I was collecting cels. I especially like it because it came stuck to the back of this background layout sketch of the trees.
